In the fourth quarter of 2021, the top 5 tower defense games on iOS in Europe demonstrated varying trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at their performance based on Sensor Tower data.

Plants vs. Zombies™ 2 from PopCap saw an up-and-down trend in weekly revenue, peaking at around $22.3K in the last week of December. Weekly downloads showed a high point in mid-October with about 51.2K, then fluctuated before ending the year at approximately 41.2K. Active users remained relatively stable, starting the quarter at around 297.7K and closing at 302.6K.

Plants vs. Zombies™ by Electronic Arts maintained a steady weekly revenue, averaging around $1.2K throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads peaked at nearly 27.5K in the final week of December, while active users saw a slight increase from 119.6K to 121.9K.

Rush Royale: Tower Defense TD from MY.GAMES B.V. experienced a significant fluctuation in weekly revenue, reaching as high as $239.8K in mid-December. Weekly downloads showed a declining trend from 43.8K at the beginning of October to around 32.3K by the end of December. Active users dropped from 205.3K to 187K over the quarter.
